New type SZL series traveling grate boiler is the national patent products of Zhongding Boiler, the patent No. is ZL 2009 2 0089355.7. The traveling grate boiler is horizontal type double drums boiler with high steam quality, the combustion equipment is traveling grate, has the advantages of high automatic degree, high temperature resistances and low fuel leakage. Zhongding boiler takes several breakthroughs on boiler design, such as membrane water cooling wall, low thermal inertia design, and water cooling combustion chamber. The convection heating area increase more than 50%, and by using the light furnace wall, the thermal inertia decrease 70%, to improve thermal efficiency. Characteristics of Traveling Grate

1. Boiler Customization

1) Grate ---- Based on the fuel characteristics (size, humidity, and volatility, etc.), equipped with different grate, such as fixed grate, chain grate, and moving grate, etc. The chain grate could divided into small flaker grate, chain belt grate, bar grate.
2) Air Pre-heater ---- For the fuel with high humility, could equipped with air preheater, uses the waste heat of flue gas to heat the air, and improve the combustion condition, decrease heat loss form incomplete combustion heat loss.
3) Water Treatment Equipment ---- Based on the water quality, could equipped with different water treatment equipment, generally, there are soften water treatment and reverse osmosis water treatment equipment.
4) Secondary Air Device ----

1) Zhongding Boiler owns a professional design engineer team, before manufacturing, every boiler design drawing will be approved by boiler and pressure vessel experts of CSBTS ( State Bureau of Quality Technical Supervision ), and then the boiler could be produced only if qualified.
2) To ensure the raw materials quality, all the steel plates are special-used for boiler with the Inspection Certificates. The raw material materials are inspected when entering factory, and only the qualified material could be put in storage and used for production.
3) To ensure the welding quality, there a professional welding team, including more than 30 senior welders. The welding materials are stored under constant temperature and humidity, to ensure the welding material quality.
4) Nondestructive testing will be done to ensure the welding quality, by using x-ray detection, ultrasonic flaw detection, magnetic test, or penetration test, etc.
5) Hydrostatic test will be done to ensure the leakproofness and strength of boiler pressure parts, generally, the testing pressure is 12.5 times of rated working pressure.
6) All the raw materials and boilers are supervised and inspected by the experts of Inspection Institution for Boiler and Pressure Vessel. 5. Convenient Maintenance
1) The chain grate is convenient for maintenance, it could be done without boiler shut down.

Structure and Combustion Process
The front boiler body is arranged around with water cooled wall, the upper part is connected with upper drum, the downpart is connected with header, to consist the combustion chamber. To absorb the furnace radiant heat sufficiently, there is intensive convection tube bundle between the upper drum and lower drum.
The bagasse fuel drops down at the front of grate from fuel hopper, move with the chain grate, after preheat dry distillation, combustion, and burnout, the slag fall into slag hopper, and then removed outside the boiler. The high temperature smoke gas flow through the convection heating surface, economizer, dust remover in order, and finally discharged into the atmosphere by induced draft fan through chimney.
